About me

My name is Stefan Nikolaj and I'm currently studying Aerospace at the Technical University of Munich. I'd describe myself as an endlessly curious person above all, as I love to learn and explore new things. My main interests are electronics and programming, but there isn't a topic I haven't explored at least a bit! Whether it's the history of Western pop music, the processors used in various spacecraft, or the best graphing calculators, I'd love to talk about it.

I'm currently also building a Wiki which you can check out at StefWiki. I'll be gradually adding more and more of the things I learn and know there, since I really want to share as much knowledge as I can! I'm also up for any suggestions or external submissions if they fit the areas covered under the Wiki.

In my free time

In my free time, I like to build things (like electronics), do programming or write. Besides that, I like playing music, making music and cooking. I generally like creating things, so I'm willing to try any hobby that fits that description. However, with university and everything else going on, I rarely have free time these days! I'm also one of those strange people who like to read scientific studies in their free time.

In the past, I used to play video games a lot, and still occasionally do. My favorite genre is RTS, but I've been known to play War Thunder and World of Tanks with friends. Nowadays, I mostly play around an hour of Command and Conquer (Generals, Red Alert 3 or Kane's Wrath), Men of War 2 Assault Squad or Total War: Attila per week.

My interests

Apart from technical topics, I'm really interested in education and history. I enjoy learning just to be able to pass that knowledge to others. I believe that education is one of the main (but not the only) paths to achieving a positive social impact. Because of this, I made my YouTube channel, blog, Wiki and the other social media channels through which I share my knowledge and creativity.

I've read a lot about history - mostly military and economic history - and believe that it contains the answers to many of our current problems. One day I'd like to be an activist and make a bigger social impact, but for now I focus on helping people on a smaller scale.
